Job summary

City Year AmeriCorps Member in the United States serves as an entry-level, full-time role focused on coaching and mentoring students across elementary to high school. You will work with teachers to support academic achievement, attendance, and positive behaviors, while planning progress and providing in-class assistance.

Training is provided (2–4 weeks at the start). The program offers comprehensive benefits including health coverage, student loan support, relocation assistance, and career

Qualifications

• Coaching and mentoring students to improve academic outcomes.
• Plan and monitor progress, and support teachers with instruction.
• Develop behaviors and interpersonal skills using proven strategies.

Responsibilities

• Work with identified students 1:1 and in small groups.
• Develop literacy and math activities to meet student levels.
• Create a behavior management system for students.
• Collaborate with teachers to monitor progress and data in City Year's system.
• Contribute to in-class and after-school programs to boost engagement.
