Job summary

City Year AmeriCorps Member is an entry-level, paid, full-time role focused on coaching and mentoring students across elementary to high school. You will support academic achievement, improve attendance, and foster positive behaviors while planning and monitoring student progress with teachers.

We provide 2–4 weeks of training, ongoing collaboration with partner teachers and staff, plus AmeriCorps and City Year benefits, including health coverage, an education award, and a bi-weekly living

Qualifications

• Experience coaching and mentoring students is beneficial.
• Ability to develop age-appropriate activities and supports.
• Experience tracking student progress or data is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support and mentor students 1:1 and in small groups.
• Help develop literacy and math skills with varied activities.
• Create and implement behavior management strategies.
• Collaborate with teachers to monitor student progress.
