City Year AmeriCorps Member is an entry-level, full-time role focused on coaching and mentoring students across grade levels. You will support academic achievement, attendance, and positive behavior while collaborating with teachers and school staff.

You will receive 2–4 weeks of training and ongoing support, with benefits and a bi-weekly living stipend as part of City Year AmeriCorps program.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
• Ages 17–25 by July 1, 2025
• GED or high school diploma, some college, or college degree
• No more than three AmeriCorps terms
• Agree to and pass a background check
• Be able to start City Year by July/August 2025

Responsabilités

• Coach and mentor students 1:1 or in small groups
• Plan and monitor student progress with teachers
• Support literacy and math activities by student level
• Create and implement behavior management for students
• Collaborate with teachers to track student data
• Create engaging, safe, and collaborative classroom spaces
