Job summary

City Year is seeking a student-focused mentor and coach for an entry-level, full-time AmeriCorps role. You will coach and mentor students to achieve academic success, improve attendance, and develop positive behaviors in collaboration with teachers.

Training is provided (2-4 weeks) at year start; you’ll work with partner teachers and school staff, supporting literacy and math, behavior management, and student progress reviews using City Year data systems.

Qualifications

• Be prepared to coach and mentor students 1:1 and in small groups.
• Develop literacy and math skills through varied activities.
• Create and implement behavior management and monitor progress in City Year data system.
