City Year AmeriCorps is seeking entry-level members to coach and mentor students across grade levels to boost academic success, attendance, and behavior. You will work with teachers and students, plan targeted activities, and monitor progress through City Year’s data tools.

We provide 2–4 weeks of training and ongoing support, with a biweekly living stipend and benefits. Start date is July/August 2025, with relocation assistance where applicable.

Formación

• Be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.
• Be 17‑25 by July 1, 2025.
• Have a GED or high school diploma, some college experience, or college degree.
• Have served no more than three AmeriCorps terms
• Agree to and complete a background check.
• Be able to begin City Year by July/August 2025.

Responsabilidades

• Coach and mentor students 1:1 and in small groups to improve academics and behavior.
• Plan and monitor individual progress and support teachers with classroom instruction.
• Develop literacy and/or math activities tailored to student levels.
• Create a positive, engaging classroom environment with the teacher.
• Track and analyze student progress using City Year’s data system.
