City Year is seeking an entry-level City Year AmeriCorps Member to coach and mentor students in elementary to high school settings. You’ll support academic success, improve attendance, and foster positive behaviors under a comprehensive training program.

The role includes 2–4 weeks of initial training, collaboration with teachers, data-driven progress reviews, and engagement activities before, during, and after school.

Qualifikationen

• Be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.
• Be 17–25 by July 1, 2025.
• Have a GED or high school diploma, some college, or a college degree.
• Be eligible to begin City Year by July/August 2025.

Aufgaben

• Coach and mentor students to support academic success and attendance.
• Plan and monitor individual student progress with teachers.
• Create engaging literacy and math activities tailored to each student.
• Develop positive behaviors and safe classroom spaces in collaboration with staff.
• Participate in data collection and reviews of student progress.
