Job summary

City Year AmeriCorps is seeking entry-level, full-time Student Success Coach and Mentor to support students across grade levels. You will coach and mentor students to improve academics, attendance and behavior, while collaborating with teachers to implement in-class support and progress monitoring.

No prior experience is required; extensive training is provided. This AmeriCorps role offers stipends and benefits, with start dates in mid-2025 across City Year locations.

Qualifications

• Experience in coaching and mentoring is not required; training is provided at start of year.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor elementary, middle, and/or high school students to improve academic success and attendance.
• Plan and monitor individual student progress and support teachers with in-class instruction.
• Create engaging, safe, and positive classroom environments in collaboration with teachers.
