City Year AmeriCorps members coach and mentor students to improve academics, attendance, and behavior in elementary through high school settings, partnering with teachers to support in-class instruction and targeted interventions.

Qualifications

• Mentoring and supporting students with individualized plans.
• Assist teachers with classroom instruction and small-group activities.
• Develop and monitor progress in reading/math and attendance.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group coaching to identified students.
• Support literacy and math skill development through varied activities.
• Create and implement behavior management strategies.
• Collaborate with teachers to record and review student progress.
