Job summary

University at Buffalo invites applications for the Student Staff Coordinator within the Career Design Center. You will own the full talent lifecycle for a diverse team of peer coaches, graduate assistants, interns, and experience ambassadors.

You will lead recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, payroll coordination, training, coaching, and performance development, while designing development programs that integrate Life Design and required campus training—building belonging and career readiness.

Qualifications

• Design and deliver professional development programs integrating Life Design and institutional training.
• Experience designing and facilitating professional development or training.
• Experience with instructional content development — guides, curricula, presentations, or SOPs.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong organizational skills.
• Experience working with diverse teams and a commitment to inclusive, people-centered support.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full talent lifecycle for 15+ student workers, including recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, payroll coordination, training, coaching, and performance development.
• Design and deliver learning and development programs that integrate Life Design, professional development, role-specific competencies, and required institutional training.
• Build a structured student employee development experience through learning resources, individual development plans, competency-based milestones, and ongoing performance assessment.
• Develop and continuously improve training content and learning experiences creating an inclusive, high-impact student employment experience that builds belonging, transferable skills and career readiness.
