Job summary

AllianceOne Incorporated in Maumee, OH is hiring a Collections Specialist experienced in student loan and purchased debt collections. You will contact customers by phone, negotiate payment options, and manage a portfolio of accounts while meeting performance goals in a professional, empathetic manner.

Qualifications

• Top priority: Student Loan & Purchased Debt Collections.
• Strong experience in student loan collections and/or purchased debt.
• Familiarity with payment negotiations and repayment arrangements.

Responsibilities

• Contact customers by phone regarding outstanding balances and repayment options.
• Manage an assigned portfolio of customer accounts.
• Assess customers' financial situations and identify appropriate repayment solutions.
• Negotiate payment arrangements, settlements, and hardship options within established guidelines.
• Build rapport through professional, empathetic, and solution-focused conversations.
• Maintain accurate account documentation after every interaction.
• Meet performance goals related to quality, productivity, and collections.
