Job summary

Covista is seeking a Student Finance Advisor to support 850–950 students across undergraduate and graduate programs. You will assess financial needs, advise on options, and maintain compliance with Title IV regulations.

This role sits in a busy contact center and reports to the Account Management Manager. You’ll partner with academic units, help resolve complex financing issues, and promote Covista’s CARE culture while handling policy-informed guidance and maintaining high-quality customer

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred or comparable experience.
• Experience in higher education is a plus.
• Knowledge of federal Title IV and state financial aid regulations a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Outstanding customer service skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and databases.
• Excellent interpersonal, mathematical, problem solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
• Self-motivated with ownership mindset.

Responsibilities

• Analyze each student’s situation to develop an individualized financial plan and monitor it through the lifecycle.
• Collaborate with departments to deliver an optimal student experience.
• Provide accurate student finance guidance with up-to-date policy knowledge.
• Assist with escalated student concerns and ensure timely resolution.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and participate in new rollouts.
• Attend meetings and contribute to organizational committees.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on Title IV programs and policies.
