Job summary

Covista is hiring to assist student success through proactive account assessment and student finance advising. This role manages a portfolio of about 850-950 students (undergrad or grad or mix) ensuring they have guidance to make informed financial decisions.

Reports to Account Management Manager in a contact center environment supporting students across modalities. Collaborate with academic partners and other departments to resolve financing issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or comparable experience.
• 1 year experience in higher education preferred.
• Knowledge of federal Title IV and state financial aid regulations is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Outstanding customer service and strong communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, database and internet applications.
• Strong interpersonal, mathematical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage deadlines and resolve complex issues quickly.

Responsibilities

• Analyze each student’s situation to develop and implement a financial plan.
• Collaborate with other departments to deliver an optimal student experience.
• Communicate policies and procedures to students with clear rationale.
• Assist students in making informed financial decisions.
• Manage escalated student concerns and provide exceptional care.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and participate in new rollouts.
• Attend meetings and contribute to organizational committees.
• Act as a subject matter expert on Title IV programs and related policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned and comply with all policies.
