Job summary

Auburn University is seeking Student Assistants to support the Office of The Vice President for Research and Economic Development, External Engagement & Support Office with event-related tasks. Hours vary with class schedules and will not exceed 20 hours per week.

You will help with event setup/breakdown, coordinate planning, and assist with AV needs. Enrolled Auburn University students who are team players, neat in appearance, and willing to assist across projects are invited to apply.

• Must be a team player and willing to help where needed with any project.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Event Director with event setup and breakdown, including tables, chairs, decor, and audio/visual equipment.
• Assist clients with pre-event planning, coordination of event setup, as well as audio-visual technical assistant.
• May perform duties alone or collaboratively with supervisors and/or event operations staff.
• Monitor event inventory of equipment, supplies, and furniture etc.
• Monitor event space to ensure cleanliness and organization.
• Other duties as assigned.
