Job summary

Auburn University is seeking Student Assistants to support the External Engagement & Support Office; hours vary with class schedules, up to 20 hours weekly, assisting with event setup, coordination, and day-of operations.

Enrolled students may work on a variety of events, gain hands-on experience, collaborate with staff and clients, and contribute to the success of campus events while balancing coursework.

Qualifications

• Enrolled student at Auburn University.
• Able to lift and move banquet tables and chairs as needed.
• Able to work in a team and assist with events.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Event Director with event setup and breakdown, including tables, chairs, decor, and audio/visual equipment.
• Assist clients with pre-event planning, coordination of event setup, as well as audio-visual technical assistant.
• May perform duties alone or collaboratively with supervisors and/or event operations staff.
• Monitor event inventory of equipment, supplies, and furniture etc.
• Monitor event space to ensure cleanliness and organization.
• Other duties as assigned.
