Position Summary
The Student Enrollment Ambassador is an intermediate-level peer support position serving prospective, newly admitted, and currently enrolled students as they navigate RCC's enrollment and student-services experience. Working with RCC Connect, Admissions, Transfer Services, and Early College/Dual Enrollment programs, the Ambassador provides peer guidance, outreach, general information, wayfinding, and referrals while representing RCC in a welcoming and professional manner.
Required Qualifications
Scope of Ambassador Role
Student Enrollment Ambassadors provide general information, peer guidance, navigation, outreach, and referrals. They do not independently provide academic advising, determine financial-aid eligibility, interpret student accounts, approve registration decisions, make admissions decisions, or provide official transfer/articulation guidance. Questions requiring interpretation, eligibility determinations, or professional decision-making must be referred to authorized RCC staff.

Funding & Scheduling Structure
Four Student Enrollment Ambassador placements are authorized through Federal Work-Study. FWS assignments are limited to approved weekday, on-campus work and are scheduled around students' academic commitments, department needs, and FWS eligibility requirements. Students may work no more than 18.5 hours per week. Weekend or otherwise non-FWS coverage identified in the originating program schedule is not assigned to these positions.
Supervision & Performance
The Student Enrollment Ambassador reports to Harrison Gonzalea-Garica and Chantea High, or designated Admissions/RCC Connect staff. Students receive training on enrollment processes, campus resources, Slate and approved systems, confidentiality, role boundaries, referrals, and professional customer service.
Advancement
Strong performers may become candidates for future advanced ambassador, peer leadership, admissions, enrollment services, student-success, outreach, or project-support positions when available.
