Portage Learning is seeking a Student Engagement Coordinator I to manage prospective student outreach and assist learners through discovery, application, financial aid, transfer, and enrollment steps.

The role requires an associate or bachelor's degree, 0–3 years in higher education or a related field, strong communication and service orientation, conflict resolution, multi-tasking, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Travel is required; on-site in Chippewa Township, PA.

Qualifications

• An associate or bachelor's degree is required.
• 0-3 years of professional experience in a school or an institution of higher education, or related field.
• Demonstrated knowledge of processes and procedures commonly used in higher education; these include transfer of credit, financial aid, and program application/acceptance processes.
• Successful completion of a background check and current and/or ability to obtain the following clearances: Child Abuse, State Police, FBI Fingerprinting, and Mandated Reporter for Child Abuse.

Responsibilities

• Engagement with prospective students to promote enrollment at Portage Learning.
• Support the management of the student enrollment process and follow-up individually as needed.
• Maintain up-to-date student contact information.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
