Job summary

University Dining at UW-Stevens Point is seeking a Student Employment Program Manager to oversee and promote the student employment program, supporting 200+ student employees yearly. The role reports to the Employment and Dining leadership and collaborates with payroll and Training and Development coordinators to ensure compliance with policies.

Responsibilities include staffing oversight, policy development, Workday postings, and onboarding.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 2 semesters remaining at UWSP and be able to work 20 hours/week during the academic year and must be available to work during summer and winter breaks (up to 40 hours/week).
• Demonstrate a high level of confidentiality and accuracy.
• Must have experience with Microsoft Suite (particular Excel).
• Must be able to work with limited supervision, demonstrate problem-solving skills, and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist department Student Managers and full-time supervisory staff with student employee staffing, evaluation, and discipline process.
• Form, revise, and interpret University Dining student employment policies and procedures in conjunction with their supervisor and the University Dining Director.
• Post, monitor, update and close job postings on Workday and the University Dining employment website and application.
• As needed, assist Payroll Coordinator with hiring students in Workday
• Maintain personnel files for current and past student employees.
• Update and keep records of all student employee position descriptions.
• Coordinate monthly Student Supervisory Staff meetings during the academic year and semesterly Student Supervisory Staff orientation training sessions.
