Job summary

University of Nebraska-Lincoln is seeking a Career and Student Experience Specialist to coordinate experiential learning opportunities and deliver career development support for students. This full-time role emphasizes building relationships with employers, alumni, and external partners to expand opportunities across the arts and sciences at UNL.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree plus relevant experience and offers comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus two years of experience working with high school or college students in an educational support, counseling, social work, achievement, advising or related role.
• Master’s degree in a relevant field may substitute for experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate state, national, and international experiential learning opportunities, including internships, professional experiences, educational travel, and other career-connected activities.
• Provide career and professional development support that prepares students for high level internships, employment, graduate study, and professional practice.
• Develop relationships with employers, alumni, professional organizations, and other external partners to expand career and experiential opportunities for students.
• Collaborate with faculty, UNL Global Affairs and other University offices, as well as College partners to coordinate experiential activities and connect students and faculty with appropriate resources.
• Track and communicate career and experiential learning activities and outcomes to support College priorities and program improvement.
