The Hixson-Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln is a vibrant community of artists, scholars, and educators committed to excellence in creative expression, academic inquiry, and public engagement. - Coordinate state, national, and international experiential learning opportunities, including internships, professional experiences, educational travel, and other career-connected activities.
- Provide career and professional development support that prepares students for high level internships, employment, graduate study, and professional practice.
- Develop relationships with employers, alumni, professional organizations, and other external partners to expand career and experiential opportunities for students.
- Collaborate with faculty, UNL Global Affairs and other University offices, as well as College partners to coordinate experiential activities and connect students and faculty with appropriate resources.
- Track and communicate career and experiential learning activities and outcomes to support College priorities and program improvement.
In the UNL system, this position is categorized as a Career Coach.

Minimum Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree plus two (2) years of experience working with high school or college students in an educational support, counseling, social work, achievement, advising, mentoring or related role. Master’s degree in a relevant field may substitute for experience.
- Demonstrated organization, time management, verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with public speaking.
- Experience working collaboratively with and coordinating programs, projects, or events for multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to learn and translate extensive career information, policies, and procedures.
- Ability to both collaborate and self-manage.
Preferred Qualifications
The following qualifications are preferred but not required:
- Knowledge of career pathways and professional practices within fine and performing arts or other creative disciplines.
- Experience developing or coordinating internships, experiential learning, career development, or other educational/professional activities, domestically or internationally.
- Experience building relationships with employers, alumni, community organizations, or other external partners.
- Experience working in higher education.
Posted Salary $43,000/year minimum
