Job summary

Perdoceo Education Corporation is seeking a collections associate to manage student account inquiries and pursue past-due balances. You will negotiate payment plans, offer hardship options, and coordinate with Financial Aid to ensure timely processing per guidelines.

Responsibilities include handling correspondence, serving as primary contact for students and parents, and promoting direct debit options while maintaining a student-centered approach.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1-2 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent customer service orientation; calm, positive demeanor.
• Effective communication—oral, phone, in person, and written.
• Willingness to adapt to new software applications and skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy; follow through.

Responsibilities

• Manage all incoming and outgoing correspondence including letters, emails, and calls.
• Serve as primary contact for students; resolve problems and coordinate with Financial Aid.
• Assist students in budgeting and installment payment plans.
• Promote direct debit option to students.
• Stay up-to-date on balances and follow up on collections.
• Prepare regular and special statements and communications to students.
• Collaborate with Student Finance to process transactions per policies.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
• Experience in accounts receivable, especially in higher education, preferred.
