DeVry Educational Development Corp. seeks a Collections Specialist for the student accounts portfolio in a fast-paced environment.

You will negotiate repayment terms, conduct delinquency management, and support internal and external partners to promote student success while adhering to regulatory standards. The role emphasizes CARE and TEACH values, with a focus on quality assurance, stakeholder collaboration, and process improvements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of higher education or consumer collections experience is required.
• Outstanding customer services skills with 3+ years’ experience required.
• Experience working in a call center environment.
• Knowledge of FDCPA, CFPB, UDAAP and other collection regulations and laws required.
• Knowledge of online learning environments a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversees out-of-school student account collection portfolio with goals to secure timely payments and reduce balances.
• Handles inbound/outbound calls and emails to cure accounts and negotiate repayment terms.
• Manages collection workflows to recover past due balances and improve recoveries.
• Upholds compliance with FDCPA, CFPB, UDAAP, and related regulations across all collection activities.
• Provides strong customer care to maintain student experience and satisfaction.
• Delivers on department goals and collections metrics.
