Job summary

Clayco is seeking a Procurement Manager in Birmingham, AL to lead steel procurement on major data center, industrial and high-rise projects. You will read drawings, develop field-ready scopes, and price scopes with labor and material breakdowns, coordinating with fabricators and erectors.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in steel PM, estimator, fabricator, erector PM or GC PM.
• 3+ years hands-on field experience as field engineer, superintendent, foreman, erector, or field PM.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings and specifications at design milestones; perform tonnage, joist, and deck takeoffs.
• Write field-ready scopes with inclusions/exclusions and trade interfaces; drive RFIs to resolution before bid.
• Suggest design changes to reduce cost and schedule: optimize members, alternates, simpler connections, standard details.
