Clayco in St. Louis is seeking an accomplished Procurement/Steel Project Manager with hands-on field experience to read drawings, develop scope for fabricators and erectors, and manage labor/material pricing.

The role emphasizes constructability, sequencing, and cross-training across structural scopes for large-scale data centers, industrial, and high-rise projects. You will lead reviews of design documents, develop field-ready scopes, and drive RFIs.

Qualificações

• 8+ years in steel project management, estimator, fabricator, erector PM, or GC PM.
• 3+ years hands-on field experience; office-only not a fit.
• Strong drawing review, takeoff, and shop drawing review skills.
• Deep understanding of constructability and sequencing.
• Experience building labor/material pricing breakdowns.
• Familiar with AISC/SJI/SDI, OSHA Subpart R, steel market.
• Negotiation experience at $5M+ per scope and GMP cost mgmt.
• Proficient with Bluebeam, BuildingConnected, Procore, and Excel.

Responsabilidades

• Review drawings/specs at design milestones; perform tonnage/takeoffs.
• Write field-ready scopes with inclusions/exclusions; drive RFIs to resolution.
• Suggest design changes to reduce cost/schedule; optimize joists/deck.
• Plan erection sequence with Operations and erector; drive delivery order.
• Identify clashes and gaps before field: anchors, MEP, openings.
