Job summary

Clayco is seeking a Procurement Manager with real field experience in structural steel for large-scale compute, data center, industrial, energy, or high-rise projects. You will read drawings, write scope for fabricators and erectors, and price accordingly.

Cross-train across structural and envelope scopes to enable flexible coverage on dynamic programs. You will lead procurement, cost management, and sequencing, while coordinating with operations to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in steel procurement/PM roles or related field
• Hands-on field experience with drawings, takeoffs, and scope development
• Experience writing scopes and pricing breakdowns for labor/materials
• Strong knowledge of AISC/SJI/SDI standards and cost management
• Proficiency with Bluebeam, Procore and Excel

Responsibilities

• Review specifications and develop field-ready scopes for fabrication and erection
• Coordinate with fabricators, suppliers, and erectors to price scopes accurately
• Break out pricing by labor and material and manage price risk with escalation clauses
• Lead sequencing and trade coordination to optimize erection and delivery
