Clayco is seeking a Procurement Manager with hands-on steel project experience to read drawings, write scope for fabricators, and price by labor and material. You will lead constructability reviews, sequencing, and trade coordination on large-scale Compute, Data Center, Industrial, or High Rise projects.

You will manage RFIs, BIDs, and cost control, collaborate with erectors and fabricators, and develop pricing templates while ensuring safety and compliance with AISC/SJI standards.

Competenze

• 8+ years as a steel project manager, estimator, fabricator or erector PM; GC PM is acceptable.
• At least 3 years of hands-on field experience; office-only backgrounds are not a fit.
• Strong drawing review, takeoff, and shop drawing review skills.
• Deep understanding of constructability, erection sequencing, and trade coordination.
• Experience writing scopes and building labor and material pricing breakdowns.
• Working knowledge of AISC, SJI/SDI standards, and safety requirements.

Mansioni

• Review drawings and specifications; perform independent tonnage, joist and deck takeoffs.
• Write field-ready scopes with inclusions, exclusions, and trades interfaces; drive RFIs to resolution.
• Make design suggestions to reduce cost and schedule; optimize members and sequences.
• Evaluate erection sequencing, crane locations, shipping, staging, and prerequisites.
• Lead price breakdowns, CBS packages, bidding, and contract negotiations.
• Own cost baselines, manage escalation risks, and track cost-to-complete.
• Act as steel project manager with meetings, RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings.
• Cross-train in other structural scopes to flex with project needs.
