American Structurepoint, Inc. seeks a seasoned Structural Practice Leader to guide our building structural engineering practice. You will drive staff management, operations, and growth while collaborating with executives and offices nationwide to expand client relationships and project portfolios.

The role requires strong technical leadership, project management experience, and an entrepreneurial mindset to build and lead a high-performing structural team across markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or related field.
• PE license required; SE license preferred.
• 15+ years of structural engineering experience in building design.
• Experience managing projects from proposal to construction administration.
• Proven ability to develop contracts, scopes, fees, budgets, and staffing.
• Strong client relationships that generate repeat business.
• Experience with multiple building types and construction materials.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Collaborates with architects, owners, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Entrepreneurial mindset to grow a structural engineering practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead vertical structural engineering services across markets and projects.
• Develop and execute strategic growth plans with leadership and BD staff.
• Build relationships with architects, contractors, developers, and owners.
• Lead project pursuits from client meetings to fee development and proposals.
• Oversee project delivery from proposal through construction administration.
• Provide technical leadership for building structural projects.
• Collaborate with BIM staff and design centers to deliver quality work.
• Review calculations, drawings, specs, and deliverables for quality and compliance.
• Represent the firm in professional organizations and industry events.
• Recruit, mentor, and lead structural staff and project teams.
