Job summary

American Structurepoint seeks an experienced Structural Practice Leader to grow and lead our vertical/building structural engineering practice. The role combines technical leadership with staff development, client relationship building, and strategic growth across markets.

The ideal candidate will oversee projects from proposal to construction, collaborate with multiple offices, and drive market expansion, with travel to current markets in the Midwest and beyond.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Around 15+ years of structural engineering experience focusing on building design.
• Experience managing structural projects from proposal to construction.
• Experience developing contracts, scopes, fees, budgets, staffing, schedules, and proposals.

Responsibilities

• Lead the vertical structural engineering services across current and future markets, directing staff, projects and growth.
• Develop and execute a strategic growth plan with leadership and business development teams.
• Build and maintain client relationships to generate repeat business.
• Lead project pursuits, including client meetings, strategy, contracts, and proposals; manage proposals through closeout.
• Oversee/Direct management of building structural projects from proposal through construction administration.
• Provide technical leadership for building structural projects.
