Job summary

American Structurepoint is seeking a seasoned Structural Practice Leader to guide and grow our building structural engineering practice. You will lead staff, manage projects and pursue new business with architects, developers and owners.

Ideal candidates will have 15+ years in structural engineering, a PE license, and a track record of strategic growth in the Midwest, with ability to relocate to Indiana or Ohio markets and lead cross-office teams in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 15+ years structural engineering experience focused on building design and structural systems.
• Experience managing structural engineering projects end-to-end.
• Proven ability to develop contracts, scopes, fees, budgets, staffing plans, schedules, and proposals.
• Strong client-relations skills to generate repeat business.
• Experience with multiple building types, structural systems, and materials.

Responsibilities

• Lead vertical structural engineering services across markets and oversee staff, projects, and growth.
• Develop and execute strategic growth plans with executive leadership and business development teams.
• Build and maintain relationships with architects, contractors, developers, owners, and industry partners to generate repeat business.
• Lead project pursuits including client meetings, strategy, contracts, scopes, proposals, and follow-up.
• Oversee management of building structural projects from proposal through construction administration, including planning, staffing, budgeting, scheduling, and quality control.
• Provide technical leadership for building structural projects and collaborate across centers to deliver quality outcomes.
• Review calculations, drawings, specifications, and deliverables for constructibility and compliance with standards.
• Represent the firm in professional organizations and industry events; mentor staff and lead teams.
