Job summary

Jacobs in the Northeast region seeks a Structural Engineering Professional Associate to join the design team. You will perform structural analysis and design for projects, collaborating with the Structural Lead, engineers, and designers to develop concepts and deliverables.

Qualifications include a BS in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Structural Engineering, PE license, 4+ years of experience, and experience with US codes (IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC).

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering.
• Professional Engineer License (PE or PEng).
• At least 4 years of Structural Engineering experience.
• Experience with US building codes including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI and AISC.
• Experience with Structural Engineering analysis software, Navisworks and Bluebeam.
• Experience designing and analyzing traditional steel and concrete structures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Under general supervision, perform all conventional aspects of Structural Engineering analysis and design.
• Plan and conduct work requiring judgement in the independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
• Provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentorship to designers, drafters and less experienced engineers.
