Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Structural Engineering Professional Associate in the Northeast region of the United States. You will perform structural analysis and design for steel and concrete structures, working with a design team to develop concepts from paper to model and ensuring alignment with project goals.

You will mentor junior engineers, coordinate with other disciplines, and apply US building codes (IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC) while delivering high‑quality designs in a hybrid work setup.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• At least 4 years of Structural Engineering experience.
• Experience with US building codes, including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI and AISC.
• Experience with Structural Engineering analysis software, Navisworks and Bluebeam.
• Experience designing and analyzing traditional steel and concrete structures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design under supervision.
• Develop design concepts and communicate requirements to designers and clients.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including other engineering disciplines.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
• Ensure quality control and adherence to project schedules and budgets.
