Job summary
Jacobs is seeking a Structural Engineering Professional Associate in the Northeast U.S. to join our design team.
You will perform structural analysis and design for complex projects, collaborating with the Structural Lead and other disciplines to deliver high‑quality designs for semiconductor and industrial facilities. The role requires a solid foundation in structural engineering, US codes, and experience with Navisworks/Bluebeam.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering.
- Professional Engineer License (PE) required.
- Experience with US building codes (IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC).
- Experience with structural analysis software and traditional steel/concrete design.
Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design under supervision.
- Develop design concepts and communicate requirements to draftsmen.
- Collaborate with Structural Lead and other disciplines.
- Ensure quality control and check own work.
- Forecast workload and manage scope to meet schedules.
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
