Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Structural Engineering Professional Intermediate for the NE Region to join our design team. You will perform substantial structural analysis and design for diverse projects, collaborating with the Structural Lead, other engineers, and designers to translate concepts into buildable solutions.

You will ensure adherence to US codes (IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC) while developing your skills and taking on increasing responsibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
• At least 2 years of Structural Engineering experience.
• Experience with US building codes including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI and AISC.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform conventional structural analysis and design under supervision.
• Develop engineering judgement and problem-solving skills.
• Communicate design concepts clearly with the team and client.
