Job summary

Benesch is seeking a Structural Designer to join our growing Structural team in the Kansas area. You will perform engineering models, analysis and designs, coordinate drafting for client projects, and support documentation with project managers.

You will travel to project sites as needed and develop knowledge of codes and standards while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team in an office and field setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline is required.
• E.I.T or intent to pursue P.E. is preferred.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and MS Office software.
• Ability to work in a team and communicate clearly with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering models, analysis and/or designs and supporting calculations.
• Coordinate drafting of project elements for clients.
• Draw design details under direction of Project Managers.
• Organize calculations to be included in design files per standards.
• Conduct field or site visits as needed.
• Develop knowledge of applicable codes and standards.
