About Winixx
Winixx Inc. is a New York-based technology holding company operating a portfolio of over 30 SaaS platforms across freight, fleet management, financial infrastructure, and market intelligence. Founded with a mission to modernize fragmented and underserved industries, Winixx builds technology that removes inefficiencies, creates transparency, and puts more value in the hands of the people doing the actual work. Our flagship products include Winixx Freight, a next-generation load board with embedded instant payment; fleetOS, a comprehensive fleet management and roadside assistance platform; and Baron Meddy Financial, our financial infrastructure arm facilitating capital deployment, escrow, and M&A advisory across verticals. Winixx is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, with remote teams operating nationwide.
Role Summary
A telematics device mounted behind a commercial truck's dashboard or on a windshield bracket is subjected to vibration spectra that would destroy a consumer electronic device in weeks. The Structural Analysis Engineer at Winixx exists to ensure that never happens to our products. In this role, you will apply finite element analysis, vibration analysis, and structural testing to validate that every fleetOS hardware product meets its mechanical performance requirements before a single unit reaches a customer. Your analysis work will directly influence design decisions from the earliest stages of development — catching structural weaknesses when they are cheap to fix rather than after tooling has been cut.
What You'll Do
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) on hardware enclosures, mounting brackets, PCB assemblies, connector interfaces, and full device assemblies, using simulation to predict structural behavior under static, dynamic, and thermal load conditions
- Define structural performance requirements for each hardware program, working with product management and systems engineering to translate customer use cases and installation environments into quantified structural acceptance criteria
- Conduct vibration analysis including modal analysis, frequency response analysis, and random vibration analysis to predict resonant frequencies, mode shapes, and fatigue life under vehicle vibration spectra representative of commercial vehicle operation
- Perform shock analysis for transportation drop events, installation impact events, and in-service shock loads, ensuring that hardware designs maintain structural integrity through specified shock environments
- Validate FEA predictions against physical test data from hardware validation testing, calibrating simulation models to improve accuracy and documenting the correlation methodology for use in future programs
- Work with the hardware validation team to develop structural test plans, specifying test fixtures, load application methods, measurement instrumentation, and acceptance criteria for physical structural testing
- Provide design guidance to mechanical engineers during the concept and preliminary design phases, recommending geometry changes, material selections, and structural reinforcements that improve structural performance before design freeze
- Conduct tolerance stack-up and worst-case analysis for critical assembly interfaces, ensuring that structural performance is maintained across the full range of manufacturing variation
- Document all structural analysis work in engineering analysis reports that clearly communicate methodology, assumptions, results, margins, and recommendations
- Investigate structural failures from field returns, prototype testing, or manufacturing, performing root cause analysis and developing corrective design actions that prevent recurrence
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Civil/Structural Engineering
- 2+ years of professional FEA and structural analysis experience applied to electronic hardware, automotive components, or aerospace structures in a production engineering environment
- Advanced proficiency in at least one commercial FEA software package such as ANSYS Mechanical, Abaqus, NASTRAN, or equivalent, with demonstrated ability to set up, solve, and post-process structural, modal, harmonic, and random vibration analyses independently
- Solid understanding of structural mechanics fundamentals including stress and strain analysis, failure theories, fatigue life estimation, and dynamic structural response
- Experience with vibration analysis for vehicle-mounted electronics, including familiarity with automotive vibration standards such as ISO 16750, MIL-STD-810, or ISTA packaging standards
- Demonstrated ability to correlate FEA predictions with physical test data and to use correlation findings to improve simulation model accuracy
- Proficiency in interpreting and applying GD&T principles in the context of tolerance analysis and assembly structural analysis
- Experience with material property characterization and the application of material data in structural analysis, including an understanding of how material properties vary with temperature and loading rate
- Strong analytical thinking with the ability to identify the governing structural modes and failure mechanisms in complex assemblies
- Clear and concise technical writing skills for producing engineering analysis reports that can be understood by both structural engineering specialists and general engineering management audiences
Benefits
- Competitive base salary commensurate with experience
- Performance bonus program tied to individual and company milestones
- Hybrid work environment with flexible scheduling
- Career growth opportunities across 30+ SaaS products and multiple verticals
- Front-row seat at a technology company at the beginning of a major national expansion
- Collaborative, mission-driven team environment
- Paid time off and company holidays
- Professional development and continuing education support
