Atlanta, US Hybrid Full-time $82,000 – $112,000
About Winixx

Winixx Inc. is a New York-based technology holding company operating a portfolio of over 30 SaaS platforms across freight, fleet management, financial infrastructure, and market intelligence. Founded with a mission to modernize fragmented and underserved industries, Winixx builds technology that removes inefficiencies, creates transparency, and puts more value in the hands of the people doing the actual work. Our flagship products include Winixx Freight, a next-generation load board with embedded instant payment; fleetOS, a comprehensive fleet management and roadside assistance platform; and Baron Meddy Financial, our financial infrastructure arm facilitating capital deployment, escrow, and M&A advisory across verticals. Winixx is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, with remote teams operating nationwide.

Role Summary

As Winixx scales fleetOS hardware production from hundreds to hundreds of thousands of units, the manual assembly and testing processes that work at low volume become bottlenecks that limit growth and introduce quality variation. The Robotics Engineer exists to solve that problem — designing, deploying, and continuously improving the automated systems that allow Winixx's contract manufacturing partners to produce fleetOS hardware at the speed and consistency that national scale demands. In this role, you will develop end-of-line functional test automation, robotic assembly systems, and automated inspection platforms that reduce cycle time, eliminate human error, and provide the data traceability that Winixx's quality management system requires.

What You'll Do
  • Design and develop automated functional test systems for fleetOS hardware products, including test fixture mechanical design, test software architecture, measurement system specification, and integration with manufacturing execution systems (MES)
  • Program and commission industrial robots for assembly applications including component insertion, screw driving, adhesive dispensing, label application, and packaging, selecting appropriate robot platforms and end-effector designs for each application
  • Develop automated optical inspection (AOI) and machine vision systems for cosmetic inspection, dimensional measurement, and barcode/label verification of fleetOS hardware products on the production line
  • Collaborate with contract manufacturing engineering teams to implement automated systems at production facilities, providing installation support, operator training, and commissioning documentation
  • Establish performance metrics for automated systems including cycle time, availability, false rejection rate, and escape rate, monitoring system performance and implementing improvements to maintain targets
  • Design and fabricate custom end-effectors, fixtures, and tooling for robotic applications, working with the mechanical design team to create tooling that can be manufactured and maintained at the production facility
  • Develop and maintain documentation for all automated systems including design drawings, wiring schematics, program listings, calibration procedures, and maintenance schedules
  • Investigate and resolve automated system failures and quality escapes, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions that restore system performance and prevent recurrence
  • Evaluate new automation technologies, robot platforms, and inspection systems for applicability to Winixx's manufacturing operations
  • Support the transition of new hardware products into automated production, working with product engineering during the NPI process to design testability and automation compatibility into new designs from the beginning
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Robotics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a closely related engineering discipline
  • 2+ years of professional robotics or industrial automation engineering experience, with demonstrated experience deploying automated systems in an electronics manufacturing or assembly environment
  • Hands-on programming experience with at least one industrial robot platform such as ABB RobotStudio, FANUC ROBOGUIDE, Universal Robots (URSim), or equivalent, including the ability to write, debug, and optimize robot programs for production applications
  • Experience with machine vision system integration including camera selection, lighting design, image processing algorithm development, and integration of vision outputs into automation control systems
  • Proficiency with PLC programming languages (ladder logic, structured text, or function block diagram) and the ability to integrate PLC-controlled automation with robot systems and manufacturing execution systems
  • Experience designing custom end-effectors and automation tooling in CAD, with the ability to specify mechanical requirements and work with fabrication resources to produce tooling that meets dimensional and functional requirements
  • Understanding of electrical wiring and control system design for industrial automation, including safety system integration per applicable machinery safety standards
  • Familiarity with statistical process control and measurement system analysis (Gauge R&R) for characterizing and validating automated measurement systems
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for complex automated systems spanning mechanical, electrical, and software failure modes, with the ability to diagnose and resolve production line failures under time pressure
  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience
  • Performance bonus program tied to individual and company milestones
  • Hybrid work environment with flexible scheduling
  • Career growth opportunities across 30+ SaaS products and multiple verticals
  • Front-row seat at a technology company at the beginning of a major national expansion
  • Collaborative, mission-driven team environment
  • Paid time off and company holidays
  • Professional development and continuing education support
