Job summary

Serco Inc. in Washington, DC, seeks an Operations Vice President of Defense Programs to lead strategy, performance, and growth for a DoW portfolio exceeding $150M annually with about 400 staff worldwide.

The role requires an active DoW Secret clearance, US citizenship, and a strong track record in large-scale defense operations, program management, and financial leadership. You will drive business development, engage senior government partners, and shape programs across Navy acquisitions,

Qualifications

• Active DoW Secret security clearance is required.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Master's degree in Business, Management, Engineering, or related field; or Bachelor's plus 5 years of relevant experience.
• 12 years of progressively responsible leadership in DoW programs or similar defense operations.
• Proven ability to lead large, complex organizations and deliver growth and operational excellence.
• Experience managing large-scale operations with P&L responsibility.
• Strong strategic planning, BD and customer-relations skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership for a $150M+ annual revenue portfolio with ~400 staff worldwide.
• Lead Senior Directors responsible for Navy Acquisition, Modernization, and In-Service Maintenance programs.
• Set strategies and priorities to drive growth, customer satisfaction, and long-term objectives.
• Oversee portfolio financial performance, forecasting, cost control, and risk management.
• Develop innovative, technology-enabled solutions addressing diverse mission needs.
• Engage with senior government partners, industry stakeholders, and Serco leadership to grow relationships.
• Lead business development, pipeline expansion, and capture efforts across the DoW market.
• Drive workforce planning, leadership development, and succession planning.
• Guide organizational change and continuous improvement to meet evolving requirements.
