Job summary

Serco Inc. is seeking an Operations Vice President of Defense Programs to lead a multi‑billion dollar portfolio and a global workforce. You will drive strategy, execution, and growth with DoW customers including the U.S. Navy, aligned with Serco’s goals. A DoW Secret clearance and senior leadership experience are essential.

The role is based in Washington, D.C., with opportunities to shape strategy, strengthen customer relationships, and elevate program performance in a defense environment.

Qualifications

• Active DoW Secret security clearance required.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Master's degree or Bachelor’s with 5+ years relevant experience.
• 12+ years of leadership experience in DoW programs.
• Proven ability to lead large, complex organizations and deliver operational excellence.
• Strong strategic planning, business development and customer relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic growth and operational performance of the DoW portfolio with $150M+ annual revenue and ~400 employees.
• Provide executive leadership to directors responsible for Navy Acquisition, Modernization, and In-Service Maintenance programs.
• Develop and execute strategies to grow revenue, customer satisfaction and enterprise objectives.
• Manage portfolio financial performance, forecasting, cost management and annual goals.
• Drive technology-enabled solutions to address customer requirements across missions and contracts.
• Engage with senior government customers, industry partners, and Serco leadership to identify growth opportunities.
• Lead business development, pipeline expansion, capture support, and organic growth in the DoW market.
• Develop workforce, talent, and succession plans to ensure leadership continuity.
• Lead organizational change and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage risks across operations, contracts and programs.
• Set objectives and policies aligned with Serco’s corporate vision.
