Job summary

1898 & Co. is seeking a Transmission Planning Project Manager to oversee multi-disciplinary teams on critical planning studies and system improvements.

You will drive business development, scope definition, budgeting, and client relationships across North America with a focus on delivering resilient grid solutions. You will guide technical analyses, mentor junior staff, and serve as a subject-matter expert in planning and evaluation, leveraging tools like PSS/E, PSLF, PowerWorld, PSCAD, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field with 5 years of related professional experience.
• Knowledge of project management techniques and procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and strong organizational skills.
• Experience leading consulting engagements in power systems, grid planning, and modernization.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of transmission planning projects from business development through execution.
• Manage multidisciplinary teams, develop scope and fee structures, ensure quality deliverables, and maintain client relationships.
• Mentor and develop talent within the team and lead contract negotiations and project performance reviews.
• Lead technical analyses including steady-state, transient stability, and production costing using industry-standard tools.
