Job summary

1898 & Co., part of Burns & McDonnell, is seeking a Transmission Planning Project Manager to oversee all phases of planning studies, manage client relationships, and lead multidisciplinary teams in delivering reliable grid solutions.

You will mentor junior staff, coordinate with senior leadership, and apply advanced power system modelling tools while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, computer science or related field and 5 years of related professional experience.
• Knowledge in project management, techniques, and procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of transmission planning projects from business development through execution.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams of engineers and analysts and manage scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client communication.
• Mentor junior staff and champion internal initiatives to promote team growth and technical excellence.
• Apply regulatory standards (NERC, FERC, and regional policies) and perform complex power system modeling and analysis.
