Job summary

1898 & Co. is seeking a Transmission Planning Project Manager to guide complex planning studies, mentor engineers, and manage client relationships across North America.

You will oversee scope, schedule, and budgets while leading cross-disciplinary teams on high-impact grid projects. Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in transmission planning, strong knowledge of regulatory standards, and proficiency with industry tools such as PSS/E, PSLF, ETAP, PSCAD, and Promod.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in engineering (EE preferred) from an accredited program.
• Advanced degree (MBA or MS/PhD) is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of transmission planning study experience.
• Knowledge of NERC/FERC regional requirements and production costing.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of transmission planning projects from BD to execution.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams, manage scope, budget, and schedule.
• Mentor junior staff and develop talent within the team.
• Develop client relationships and lead contract negotiations.
