Job summary

1898 & Co. is seeking a Transmission Planning Project Manager to oversee the full lifecycle of planning studies, mentor engineers, and maintain strong client relationships. You will lead cross-functional teams and drive business development while delivering high-quality results.

Responsibilities include scope definition, budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and applying NERC/FERC standards. Proficiency with PSS®E, PSLF, PowerWorld, PSCAD, ETAP and Promod is required, with a focus on grid

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, computer science or related field.
• 5 years of relevant experience in transmission planning or related consulting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience leading technical consulting engagements in power systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of transmission planning projects from business development through execution.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams of engineers and analysts; manage scope, budget and schedule.
• Mentor and develop junior staff; maintain client relationships and project delivery quality.
• Apply regulatory standards (NERC, FERC) and utilize planning tools for modeling and analysis.
