Job summary

College for Creative Studies in Detroit seeks a Transfer Credit Coordinator to lead the TCE process, ensure accurate credit placement, and maintain data integrity across transcripts, syllabi and external agreements.

You will collaborate with Admissions, Academic Advising and faculty, monitor turnaround times, update degree mappings, and support accreditation records while guiding the workflow with technology platforms like DegreeSight and CRM/SIS systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Two+ years in transfer admissions or transfer advising in higher education.
• Familiarity with Michigan Transfer Agreement or MACRAO preferred.
• Experience with CRM/ERP/SIS systems.
• Ability to translate policy for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Process transcripts in DegreeSight; validate AI-based equivalency recommendations and flag non-mapped courses.
• Coordinate with Admissions Counselors and Academic Advisors to collect syllabi/work samples for course equivalency.
• Monitor tasks to meet turnaround time standards and flag bottlenecks or system issues.
• Oversee and guide students pursuing credit through Prior Learning Assessment.
• Archive studio course credits awarded by faculty to support transfer pathways.
• Make independent decisions on General Education and Foundation courses with established benchmarks.
• Assist in updating course equivalencies and mapping articulation agreements in DegreeSight.
• Serve as the process anchor across Admissions, Advising, Registration, and Department Chairs.
• Provide updates on credit evaluation statuses to relevant offices and staff.
• Participate in occasional evening/weekend events to support on-site TCEs.
• Identify workflow gaps during implementation and recommend improvements.
• Generate reports on evaluation volume, turnaround times, AI accuracy, and overrides.
• Identify data patterns indicating partner institutions or process updates.
• Support audit documentation and accreditation records for transfer policy.
