Job summary

Luther College seeks a Transfer Credit Coordinator to facilitate the transfer of academic credits from various sources to degree programs. You will evaluate, process, and post credits, ensuring accurate and timely recording and advising stakeholders.

You will work with the Registrar's Office, academic departments, and Admissions to support transfer students and maintain articulation resources and transfer pathways.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Two or more years of work experience in higher education preferred.
• Knowledge of FERPA and records compliance in an academic setting.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and develop inclusive relationships.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct transcript assessment and syllabi review to determine transfer credits and enter into the student information system.
• Maintain transfer course equivalency data base and update the student information system (Transferology, Colleague).
• Utilize transcript reading software to ensure consistency and accuracy in transfer crediting.
• Research and review programs for course equivalencies and make recommendations to the Registrar.
• Participate in development and maintenance of transfer pathways and articulation agreements with colleges.
