Job summary

Luther College is seeking a Transfer Credit Coordinator to facilitate the transfer of academic credits from various sources. The role evaluates and posts credits, maintains equivalency data, and supports students, advisors, and faculty in transfer policies.

The position reports to the Registrar and collaborates with Academic Affairs, Admissions, and Advising. A Bachelor's degree and higher education experience are preferred for strong documentation and customer service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 2+ years of work experience in higher education preferred.
• Familiarity with academic policies and FERPA in an academic setting.
• Ability to work with diverse populations and cultures.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Assess transcripts, course descriptions, and syllabi to determine transfer credit and enter into the student information system.
• Maintain transfer equivalency data base and update the student information system (Transferology, Colleague).
• Utilize transcript reading software to ensure accuracy in transfer crediting.
• Communicate transfer credit evaluation results to students and advisors; guide next steps.
• Coordinate with Admissions and Registrar staff; support advising and campus events as needed.
• Develop and maintain transfer pathways and articulation agreements with colleges; provide timely information to stakeholders.
