Job summary

University of Central Florida is seeking a Training Specialist III to design and lead staff learning programs from onboarding through leadership development. You will partner with subject matter experts to turn knowledge into engaging content, and create learning paths for staff at all levels.

You will guide teams through change, supporting adoption of new tools and processes, and manage division-wide training initiatives with a strong focus on outcomes and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree plus 4+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience designing and delivering onboarding programs.
• Experience developing manager or leadership development programs.
• Strong facilitation skills with audiences from new hires to senior leaders.
• Experience tracking training completion and reporting on program outcomes.
• Background in instructional design and adult learning principles.
• Proven ability to translate complex information into practical training with SMEs.
• Experience managing learning management systems or training platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead a division-wide training strategy aligned with organizational priorities and partner with SMEs to identify skill gaps.
• Own the training calendar, internal resources, and tools maintaining ongoing professional development.
• Facilitate onboarding and orientation with operations leadership and hiring managers.
• Design and deliver manager training focused on team leadership and employee growth.
• Build learning tracks for emerging and current leaders in collaboration with division leadership.
• Lead communications for organizational and technology changes, creating job aids for transitions.
• Anticipate training and communication needs ahead of new tools or processes.
• Support training compliance tracking, reporting, and internal communications.
