Job summary

Armstrong Utilities is seeking a Commercial Account Executive to drive outside sales of telecom solutions to small and mid-sized businesses in the Armstrong Business Division. You will build a robust pipeline and close deals for Advanced Voice, UCaaS, Fiber Internet, and Metro Ethernet.

You will generate leads, perform needs analyses, coordinate with internal teams, and manage renewals while maintaining strong client relationships and achieving quarterly quotas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• 4+ years of B2B outside sales in telecom or technical fields preferred.
• Strong relationship management and negotiation skills required.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and handle change.
• Advanced problem-solving capabilities are essential.
• Proactively generate leads and build a sales pipeline.
• Decision-making under deadlines with confidence.
• Team-oriented with a dedicated work ethic and winning attitude.
• Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Sell Armstrong Business Division services to small and mid-sized businesses through proactive, consultative approaches.
• Self-generate leads via cold-calling, visits, networking and events.
• Renewal responsibilities for existing enterprise customers with retention focus.
• Provide competitive intelligence within assigned territories to inform strategy.
• Forecast and meet monthly sales and revenue quotas.
• Design customer solutions based on needs analysis and present proposals.
• Prepare proposals and client presentations; manage paperwork through close.
• Build and maintain positive client relationships and retention.
• Coordinate with other operational departments as needed.
• Maintain sales databases documenting client activity and customer information.
• Monitor market conditions and report feedback to management.
• Adhere to company standards and professional behavior; some travel required.
