Job summary

Harvard University seeks a Divisional Technology Partner for the Science Division to align IT investments with priorities, lead demand planning, and coordinate enterprise solutions within governance frameworks. You will represent divisional needs in university-wide decisions and supervise resolution of escalations.

Hybrid work arrangement supported; responsibility includes annual IT investment reporting and cross-divisional collaboration to drive effective technology outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Five years of post-secondary education or relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Document divisional IT needs and gather feedback on IT systems and services.
• Manage IT investment request intake.
• Align technology investments with academic and operational priorities within governance guardrails.
• Lead divisional demand planning and IT roadmap development.
• Coordinate solutions with counterparts across the FAS.
• Prepare annual report of divisional IT investments and impact.
• Represent divisional perspectives on enterprise applications and platforms.
• Serve as first escalation point for issues; triage for review.
• Prioritize unit needs within the resource budget.
• Diagnose issues by technology, policy, or business process and route accordingly.
• Approve limited exceptions to service catalog for access to IT resources.
• Make IT refresh and allocation decisions per lifecycle policies.
• Socialize IT change initiatives within the division.
• Collaborate to address sensitive matters and provide guidance/trainings.
