Harvard University information technology is seeking a strategic Divisional Technology Partner for the Social Science Division to align technology investments with academic priorities and lead demand planning. The role requires collaboration with FAS and university-wide stakeholders, escalation handling, and guiding IT change initiatives while ensuring resource alignment

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Five years of post-secondary education or relevant work experience.
  • Ability to navigate stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strategic initiative and portfolio management.
  • Executive communication and stakeholder engagement.
  • Stakeholder negotiation and influence.
  • Experience working in the FAS, Harvard, or a complex higher education setting.
  • Financial stewardship and resource allocation.
  • Facility with technological tools, platforms, and concepts.
  • Organizational change leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Document local FAS technology needs and feedback on IT systems and services.
  • Manage IT investment intake.
  • Align technology investments with academic and operational priorities within governance guardrails.
  • Facilitate FAS divisional demand planning and roadmap development.
  • Coordinate with FAS and university-wide units to identify shared solutions.
  • Produce annual report of divisional IT investments and impact.
  • Represent divisional perspectives on enterprise apps and platforms.
  • Serve as escalation point and triage issues for higher-level review.
  • Prioritize unit needs and manage within budget.
  • Diagnose issues across technology, policy, or process and route accordingly.
