Job summary

Harvard University Central Administration (HUIT) seeks a Divisional Technology Partner for the FAS Science Division. The role drives IT investments, governance-aligned planning, and cross-unit collaboration to support academic priorities.

The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree and at least five years of relevant experience, with strong stakeholder management and budget stewardship. Hybrid work is available; visa sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• Minimum of five years’ post-secondary education or relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Document local FAS technology needs and gather feedback on IT systems and services.
• Manage IT investment request intake.
• Partner with FAS divisional leadership to align technology investments with priorities and funding within governance guardrails.
• Facilitate divisional demand planning, including IT roadmap development and visibility into intake and resource capacity.
• Coordinate with counterparts across the FAS to identify shared solutions.
• Produce annual report of divisional IT investments and impact.
• Represent divisional perspectives on enterprise applications and platforms.
• Serve as first point of escalation and triage issues for higher-level review.
• Prioritize unit needs and resolve issues within budget.
• Diagnose issues and route to appropriate teams; approve limited exceptions to service catalog.
• Make IT refresh and allocation decisions within lifecycle policies.
• Socialize IT change initiatives and provide training as needed.
