Job summary

Red Hat is seeking a Technical Account Manager (TAM) to deliver strategic technical guidance to key customers, focusing on optimizing Red Hat infrastructure and driving customer success.

The TAM builds deep expertise in customer environments, coaches best practices, and acts as a trusted advisor and advocate for assigned accounts within Red Hat's cloud ecosystem. Travel to regional customers is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in a technical support, devops, consulting, development, engineering, or quality assurance organization.
• Expertise with enterprise cloud solutions like Platform-as-a-Service (Red Hat OpenShift), cloud management (Advanced Customer Manager for Kubernetes), and IT automation (Ansible Automation Platform).
• Experience with Virtual Machine migrations and telecommunications/service provider industries.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with key business and IT stakeholders and become an expert on Red Hat’s customer implementations.
• Perform technical reviews and share knowledge to proactively identify and prevent issues.
• Forewarn customers of technology changes and advise on mitigation strategies.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and drive escalation with Red Hat and customer teams.
• Present periodic reviews of operational performance to customer leadership.
• Manage customer use cases and maintain clear case documentation.
• Create customer engagement plans and keep environment documentation updated.
• Explain how Red Hat cloud solutions align to customer use cases and roadmaps.
• Support automated, containerized cloud application platforms.
• Learn new technologies quickly, including container orchestration and microservices.
